Areas of Focus

I work with children ages 2+ and their caregivers. My areas of specialty include: anxiety and depression, behavioral issues, family conflict, foster care and adoption, managing life transitions, neurodiversity, parent/child relationships, school issues, self-esteem, and trauma.

Child-Centered Play Therapy

Play is the fundamental way children express themselves, learn, and process their experiences. In play therapy, I create a nurturing and dependable environment where children can explore their thoughts and feelings and make sense of the world.

In play therapy, children learn to: identify and express their emotions, process stressful events, develop coping strategies, improve problem-solving skills, build self-esteem, and improve social and communication skills.

Individual Psychotherapy

I believe that healing occurs through building meaningful, trusting relationships. I create a safe space for adolescents to explore their challenges and gain a deeper understanding of themselves as they learn coping skills to manage stressors.

In counseling teens learn to: process stressful events, explore self-esteem and identity issues, learn to set goals, and increase resilience to confidently navigate life’s transitions.

Family Therapy

I collaborate closely with caregivers to provide psychoeducation to help parents understand their child's unique needs. I assist caregivers in applying parenting strategies that promote positive behavior, emotional regulation, and strengthen the parent-child relationship.

During family therapy sessions, I work with youth and their family members to resolve conflicts and enhance communication skills to improve cohesion within the family unit.
